Dang-ui(Woman's Ceremonial long Jacket)

19th centry, Joseon dynasty, L:80cm, ½W+S.L:65cm, W:42cm

The unlined hotdang-ui made of calico was worn as mourning attire during the King Cheoljong's funeral. The collar, bodice and the breast ties are in light jade green. The upper part of the inner overlapping panel is gathered couple of times to protect from hanging down.
