Ssamji (Leather Pouch for Tobacco)

Ssamji was a practical and decorative item for men. The pouch was made of leather, and the string was made of cotton. The holes for string were decorated with nickel sequins in bat shape, which symbolize happiness and prolificity. On the string, a small tool removing nicotine, 'dambaeggodari', were placed, which was framed with nickel then inlaid a tiger talon, meaning of braveness and protecting from misfortune.
