The nap-ui was won practically by the buddhist monk as everyday wear At first, it was made of grey cotton, and was patched with cloth dyed with Chinese ink when it was worn out. Therefore the shade of each piece is different. This patched coat for winter symbolizes the temperate and ascetic life of the wear's. This nap-ui was worn by the head priest of Unmun Temple in Chungdo, Gyeongsangbuk-do.
